Another Birthday!
Three years ago this past week we met our baby Oscar. After 24+ hours of labor (7 of which were spent pushing) our 10.5 lb baby boy arrived! He was the biggest baby in the hospital! My life was forever changed. He made me a mama. He has shown and taught me how to be a mama. Thanks little buddy. He is such a sweet little guy. It amazes me how much changes in the first years of these little people. Walking, talking, thinking, opinionated, independent little people emerge. I love getting to know him… hearing the thoughts in his head, watching his blossoming imagination and creativity. He learns more and more everyday.
For this special day daddy took the day off work. The three of us spent the morning bowling at Pinstripes… Have you been to this place?! My kind of bowling. Beautifully designed interior, leather couches instead of those slippery plastic chairs, cozy intimate environment, and a great menu! If you are thinking about an adult night out of bowling or a mom+tot (only $5 per kid, parents free) morning playdate during the week. I highly recommend this place! Sorry, I got off track but I was seriously impressed with this place. This was Oscar’s first bowling alley experience. He was excited about the whole thing… Complimentary lemonade at the door (coffee for us), bowling shoes, picking out his ball, setting up the ramp. He did pretty good too. Such a good birthday outing!! I can’t wait to go back! An afternoon quiet time watching the Lion King (a birthday present) and then baking cookies with mama (per his request of chocolate, chocolate chip cookies). I think I’m having as much fun on his birthday as he is! Happy Birthday little boy. I love you so much. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings.
